2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to orders placed directly with us through this website. They form a contract between you and us when we accept your order.

Buying through Amazon? Orders placed on our Amazon storefront are contracts with you and Amazon under their terms, and their returns process applies — not this page. Please use your Amazon account to return or query those orders.

3. Our products

We make socket surrounds for acoustic slat wall panelling, in single and double gang, designed for panelling of 14mm minimum depth. Dimensions and minimum panel cutout sizes are published on our home page, and we ask you to check them against your own sockets, switches and panel cutouts before ordering.

Photographs are illustrative. Because the surrounds are manufactured in small batches, slight variation in finish is normal and is not a fault.

4. Placing an order

Selecting “Buy direct” takes you to a secure checkout hosted by Stripe. Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we email to confirm the order or dispatch the goods, whichever happens first.

If we cannot fulfil an order — for example because an item is out of stock or a pricing error has occurred — we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

5. Price and payment

6. Delivery

We deliver to United Kingdom addresses only. We aim to dispatch within one working day, and the estimated delivery window shown at checkout is 3–5 business days. Unless we agree otherwise, we will deliver within 30 days of the contract being formed.

Goods become your responsibility once they are delivered to the address you gave us.

7. Cancellation, returns and refunds

You have a legal right to cancel most orders within 14 days without giving a reason. Full details, including how to cancel and who pays return postage, are on our Returns & Cancellations page, which forms part of these terms.

8. Bespoke and made-to-measure items

Important: where we make a surround to dimensions you have specified, it is made to your personal specification. By law, the 14-day right to change your mind does not apply to such items, so please check your measurements carefully before ordering a bespoke size. This does not affect your rights if the item arrives faulty or is not as described.

9. Faulty or misdescribed goods

Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they are not, you may be entitled to reject them for a full refund within 30 days of delivery, or to a repair or replacement after that. We pay return postage on faulty or incorrectly supplied items.

10. Installation and safety

Our surrounds fit around existing electrical accessories; we do not supply electrical parts and we do not carry out installation. Always isolate the supply before removing a faceplate, hand-tighten the fixings rather than using a power tool, and consult a qualified electrician if you are at all unsure.

We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by incorrect installation, or by fitting a surround to an accessory or panel it was not designed for.

11. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable at the time the contract was made.

These terms cover consumer sales. If you are buying in the course of a business, our liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of business is excluded.

12. Complaints and disputes

If something is wrong, please email support@jtdesigns.uk and we will do our best to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own country.
